چکیده

Fish is an important source of antimicrobial peptides. This study aimed to identify and screen antibacterial peptides with excellent activity derived from sturgeon spermary (SSPs) analyze their mechanism. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry methods were used peptide sequences, computational prediction tool molecular docking for virtual screening peptides, finally, candidate synthesized by solid-phase synthesis method. The results demonstrate that SSPs have inhibitory against Escherichia coli rate 76.46%. Most parts the (Acipenser ruthenus) histones, coverage histone H2B was highest (45%). Two novel (NDEELNKLM RSSKRRQ) obtained in silico tools docking, which may interact DNA gyrase dihydrofolate reductase E. forming salt bridges hydrogen bonds. Compared individual effect significantly improved mixing two equal proportions. change permeability cell membranes exert inhibiting metabolic process nucleic acids.

Acipensins – Novel Antimicrobial Peptides from Leukocytes of the Russian Sturgeon Acipenser gueldenstaedtii

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) play an important role in the innate defense mechanisms in humans and animals. We have isolated and studied a set of antimicrobial peptides from leukocytes of the Russian sturgeon Acipenser gueldenstaedtii belonging to a subclass of chondrosteans, an ancient group of bony fish. Structural analysis of the isolated peptides, designated as acipensins (Ac), revealed in...

Comparison of growth and hematological parameters in juvenile Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii), sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus) and its hybrid (Acipenser ruthenus ♀ × Acipenser baerii ♂)

The present study was conducted to compare the growth indices and blood factors of sterlet (Acipenser ruthenus), Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) and their hybrid (Acipenser ruthenus ♀ × Acipenser baerii ♂) to produce a fish with larger size, larger eggs and more tolerant to environmental conditions than the parents. The hybrid was produced by mixing of the oocytes of one sterlet female wit...

Site heteroplasmy in the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene of the sterlet sturgeon Acipenser ruthenus

Sturgeons are fish species with a complex biology. They are also characterized by complex aspects including polyploidization and easiness of hybridization. As with most of the Ponto-Caspian sturgeons, the populations of Acipenser ruthenus from the Danube have declined drastically during the last decades. This is the first report on mitochondrial point heteroplasmy in the cytochrome b gene of th...

Comparative localization of corticotropin and corticotropin releasing factor-like peptides in the brain and hypophysis of a primitive vertebrate, the sturgeon Acipenser ruthenus L.

The sturgeon is a primitive actinopterigian fish that, unlike modern teleosts, possess a portal vascular system that connects a true median eminence with the anterior pituitary as in mammals. The occurrence and localization of corticotropin and corticotropin releasing factor-like immunoreactivies were examined in the brain of the sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus L.) by immunocytochemistry with anti...

Effects of Dietary Garlic Extract on Growth, Feed Utilization and Whole Body Composition of Juvenile Sterlet Sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus)

This study was carried out to investigate the supplemental effects of dietary garlic extract (GE) on growth performance of juvenile sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus). The first experiment was designed to determine the optimum levels of garlic extract as growth promoter during 10 weeks. Three groups (two replicates/group) of 240 fish with mean body weight of 85 g were fed with diets containi...
